Type: #5 Body. Stamped On Her Back It Says: Chatty Cathy 1960 Chatty Baby 1961 By Mattel INC US Pat.3017187 Other US & Foreign Pats. Pend pat'd in Canada 1962
Voice Box: Hexagon grill. Doll has been repaired to talk but I did not repair this doll I bought her for pictures only. She says all 18 phrases, with little to no background noise. She is a loud and clear and very good talker.
Eyes: Original Clear Beautiful Blue Glassine Sleep Eyes. Beautiful side glancing eyes. She is missing some of her lashes. I bought her that way...I have now fix her lashes, I spread out what she had left, I did not have to add any lashes... But they are thinner then most but still look very good. Please see pictures. They open and close as they should.
Hair: Has Not Been Cut I don't think... but it does looks shorter than most Canadian blonde pigtails. I really do not think it has been cut but sometimes it's real hard to tell but I really do not believe it has been cut.. Also the back center part has come undone. That inter weave needs to be redone. I re-weaved some of it but it takes time to do so I am selling her like she is... I will leave in what I have already done and ship her in pigtails so you will not lose the part but if you take out her pigtails that weave will come undone if brushed too much. You can re-weave it but it does take time. It is a cris cross weave. I just do not have the time to spend on re-weaving it. Her hair is very thick and there are a few plugs missing here and there. She has nice hair and bangs. Her hair has been washed and conditioned and has not been curled. It does have a lot of factory curl left. She will come to you with her hair freshly washed and conditioned.
Face: All Original She has a beautiful face as all Canadian dolls do. They are just so much prettier than American Chatty Cathy's. She has beautiful face color. She has nice brown Brows and Freckles. Her lips are all natural and almost perfect. No added color or make-up has been added to her face.
Arms: Both arms hold a Pose. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Legs: Both Legs Hold a Pose. She has a small pea size dent on the back top of her left leg, it's nothing. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Hands: Both Hands Have All their Fingers. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Feet: Both Feet Have All Their Toes. No noticeable nicks or stains
Head: Soft face, Turns As It Should. She has a small cut mark on her neck Please see pictures... Very small and hard to see...
Body: All seams are closed and look good. Her body is in excellent shape.
Over All Color: Arms and Legs are all the same color, a skin tone color, nice Canadian limbs. Body Is A Nice Peachy Color But Different From Arms and Legs. Head Is A Nice Tannish/Peachy Color.
Over All Condition: This doll is a Canadian blonde pigtail doll with side glancing glassine eyes. She has a beautiful face and nice hair... I did not repair this doll I bought her for pictures only. Her face is evenly colored with no graying. She still has her eye liner and nice brown freckles and brows. Her hair is thick and curly, it has a lot of factory curl left. Yes, she does have the 2 Canadian bald spots on the back of her head which all Canadian pigtail dolls have and if she didn't have them, she would not be a Canadian pig-tail Chatty Cathy. All Canadian "Pig-Tail" Chatty Cathy dolls have the 2 large bald spots. I have marked her price down because of her lashes and because of her back part hair weave. She is a beautiful doll not perfect but a beautiful doll.
Clothes/Shoes If Any: She is wearing a beautiful pink satin and lace long dress with slip, panties, a fake pearl necklace and bracelet, black shoes and ribbon for her hair. Age Of Doll: "For Newbies" Please remember this is a very old doll and it will have the wear and tear of any 50 year old doll. The doll is not new and is not being sold as a new doll. She may have light staining or discoloring on her body and limbs. Anything that I notice will be in her description. But if it is a small line like a 1/4 inch pencil or pen mark I will not mention it. These dolls are so old and all of them have been played with by little kids. So all of them will have some little thing wrong with them. Anything that is noticeable is always mentioned in her description. Please look close at all pictures. I am also going to tell you here (below) what to look for. You can use this list when you are buying from me or on eBay or anywhere you buy a doll. But Also remember that not everything will show up in a picture..

Also please remember these dolls are made of plastic and rubber and after years of kids playing with these dolls and people keeping these dolls in storage they can pick up and give off lots of different smells, so please do not keep her boxed up to long. My dolls have been cleaned inside and out from head to toe. My dolls are VERY, VERY, clean and smell like dolls.
