"Rare Doll" Side Glancing! Rare Hard To Find Doll
Type: #5 Body. Stamped On Her Back It Says: Chatty Cathy 1960 Chatty Baby 1961 By Mattel INC US Pat.3017187 Other US & Foreign Pats. Pend pat'd in Canada 1962
Voice Box: Hexagon grill. Doll has been repaired to talk. She says all 18 phrases, with little to no background noise. She has one of the good orangey/pink record in her so that make her an excellent talker. She is a loud and clear and very good talker.
Eyes: Original Clear Beautiful Blue Glassine Sleep Eyes. Side glancing! She has all her sable lashes. She has very nice eyes and they are original to her. Her eye lids when closed have fading paint. Please see pictures page 2. If interested Click Here for more information on Chatty Cathy doll eyes.
Hair: Has Not Been Cut. Her hair is very thick and there are a few plugs missing back by her pull ring. There could be more, I didn't check her whole head. She has nice long and bangs. Her hair has been washed and conditioned and has not been curled. It does have some factory curl left. She will come to you with her hair freshly washed and conditioned.
Face: All Original She has such a pretty face! She has nice brown Brows and Freckles. Her lips are all natural and very nice. No added color or make-up has been added to her face. She has such good color no makeup is needed.
Arms: Both arms hold a Pose. Some very light pink staining at the very top of both arms, inside and outside top. No other noticeable nicks or stains.
Legs: Both Legs Hold a Pose. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Hands: Both Hands Have All their Fingers. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Feet: Both Feet Have All Their Toes. On the bottom of both feet there is some very light pink staining. No othere noticeable nicks or stains.
Head: Soft face, Turns As It Should.
Body: All seams are closed and look good. body has very small nick on back by leg. Her body is in excellent shape.
Over All Color: Arms and Legs are all the same color, a skin tone color. Body Is A Nice Peachy Color But Different From Arms and Legs. Head Is A Nice Tannish/Peachy Color.
Over All Condition: This doll is a very nice rare doll, an American Soft Face with Original blue Glassine eyes. I think her eyes look blue/green but it is hard to tell. Her eyes have not been changed. I took her head off and did a close inspection of them, they are original to her. Her face color is excellent and she has perfect side glancing eyes with nice sable lashes. This doll is very hard to find. She is somewhat rare because of her glassine eyes. She has been cleaned inside and out she smells as sweet as a rose. She is a very nice rare doll that talks very good. Her hair is nice, thick and fluffy.
Clothes/Shoes If Any: She is wearing the original Chatty Cathy dress panties and shirt. The slip and panties are new as is her socks, shoes and ribbon for her hair. She is ready for display.

My dolls have been cleaned inside and out from head to toe. My dolls are VERY, VERY, clean and smell like dolls.
