Type: #5 Body. Stamped On Her Back It Says: Chatty Cathy 1960 Chatty Baby 1961 By Mattel INC US Pat.3017187 Other US & Foreign Pats. Pend pat'd in Canada 1962
Voice Box: Hexagon grill. Doll has been repaired to talk. She says all 18 phrases, with little to no background noise. Orangey/pink record. She is a loud and clear and very good talker.
Eyes: Original Clear Beautiful Blue decal Sleep Eyes. nice even eyes and lashes. She has upward looking eyes. Not to many dolls have eyes like hers with her looking upwards.
Hair: Has Not Been Cut. Her hair is very thick and there are a few plugs missing here and there. She has nice long hair and bangs. Her hair has been washed and conditioned and has not been curled. It does have some factory curl left. She will come to you with her hair freshly washed and conditioned.
Face: All Original She has such a pretty face! This doll has very good face color. She still has pink left on her cheeks! She has nice brown Brows and Freckles. Her lips are all natural and very nice. No added color or make-up has been added to her face. She has such good color no makeup is needed.
Arms: Both arms hold a Pose. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Legs: Both Legs Hold a Pose. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Hands: Both Hands Have All the Fingers. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Feet: Both Feet Have All Their Toes. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Head: Hard face, Turns As It Should.
Body: All seams are closed and look good. Her body is in excellent shape. On her back where the mattel stamp is Part of that stamp is missing, I don't know why maybe a miss stamp but I did sand it down a but to remove some black that was on it. not a big deal. This is nothing but needs to be mentioned.
Over All Color: Arms and Legs are all the same color, a skin tone color. Body Is A Nice Peachy Color But Different From Arms and Legs. Head Is A Nice Tannish/Peachy Color.
Over All Condition: This doll is a very nice American Hard Face with Original decal eyes. This is a very nice doll, she has an almost perfect face. very clean with very, very nice face color. Her eyes are just beautiful. So clear and looking upward. She has been cleaned inside and out she smells as sweet as a rose. She is a very nice doll that talks very good. Her hair is nice, thick and fluffy. .
Clothes/Shoes If Any: She is wearing a original tagged Chatty Cathy pink dress with her original lace leg panties original apron. Original socks but the shoes are new. The dress and apron and panties are in good shape. The dress needs a stitch up by the collar. She is ready for display.
