American Brunette Piggy
Type: #5 Body. Stamped On Her Back It Says: Chatty Cathy 1960 Chatty Baby 1961 By Mattel INC US Pat.3017187 Other US & Foreign Pats. Pend pat'd in Canada 1962
Voice Box: Hexagon grill. Doll has been repaired to talk. She says all 18 phrases, with little to no background noise orangey/pink. She is a loud and clear and very good talker.
Eyes: Original Clear Beautiful Blue Decal Sleep Eyes. Lashes are straight. Left eye will stick now and again but this is nothing. They open and close as they should.
Hair: Has Not Been Cut. Her hair is very thick and there are a few plugs missing, I didn't check her whole head. She has nice long hair and bangs. Her hair has been washed and conditioned and has not been curled. It does have some factory curl left. She will come to you with her hair freshly washed and conditioned.
Face: All Original She has such a pretty face! She has nice brown Brows and Freckles. Her lips need a bit of color I think. But I also think they have nice color just a bit faded is all. No added color or make-up has been added to her face. She has such good color no makeup is needed.
Arms: Both arms hold a Pose. It looks like there is a repared spot on her right arm. It's odd I first thought it was paint but now I think it is a repair. Please see pictures. If it is repaired it was done very well. No other noticeable nicks or stains.
Legs: Both Legs Hold a Pose. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Hands: Both Hands Have All their Fingers. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Feet: Both Feet Have All Their Toes. No noticeable nicks or stains.
Head: Hard Head, Turns As It Should.
Body: All seams are closed and look good. Her body is in excellent shape.
Over All Color: Arms and Legs are all the same color, a skin tone color. Body Is A Nice Peachy Color But Different From Arms and Legs. Head Is A Nice Tannish/Peachy Color.
Over All Condition: This doll is a very nice doll, an American Hard Face with decal blue eyes. Her face color is very nice. She could use a bit of lip color but it really is not needed. She had nice thick hair and bangs. She has been cleaned inside and out she smells as sweet as a rose. She is a very nice doll that talks very good. Her hair is nice, thick and fluffy. .
Clothes/Shoes If Any: She is wearing pink dress made the same way as the original Chatty Cathy dress. It has a apron, socks, shoes and ribbon for her hair. She is ready for display.

Also please remember these dolls are made of plastic and rubber and after years of kids playing with these dolls and people keeping these dolls in storage they can pick up and give off lots of different smells, so please do not keep her boxed up to long. My dolls have been cleaned inside and out from head to toe. My dolls are VERY, VERY, clean and smell like dolls.
